About NLTA
Nevada Land Title Association was founded in 1975. Its members have spent the last 50 years tracking legislation that directly impacts Nevada's land and title industry and consumers. NLTA is affiliated with American Land Title Association, a national voice of the title insurance industry that advocates for member concerns and standerdizes products for industry use.

NLTA’s members are comprised of national underwriters, Nevada-based title insurers/underwriters, escrow agents, attorneys, bankers, consultants, and registered lobbyists. Officers consist of the President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer.
Why is the existence of NLTA so important to the continued strength and success
of title and escrow service providers in the State of Nevada?

NLTA has representation on the Nevada Division of Insurance’s Title Advisory Committee. This committee provides input and direction to the Division regarding the needs of our industry which are so different than other insurance industries. These committee members represent the industry as directed by the MEMBERS of NLTA.

NLTA has a full time representative that monitors bills that affect our industry. In recent sessions, NLTA has monitored over 38 bills weekly and reviewed over 100 bills that could have potentially affected our industry. NLTA testified on behalf of the industry on several occasions and worked to defeat bills that would have had a negative impact on our day to day operations, which affects consumers.

NLTA submits bills on behalf of our industry. They lobby, testify and meet with leaders on behalf of the MEMBERSHIP to work through issues before they go to committee.

The existence of NLTA creates an open forum to discuss legislative and federal issues affecting our industry. NLTA is becoming established as the place to call for assistance and information regarding the real estate industry.
